Whatever Your Interests or Goals You’ll Find a Health Retreat That Suits
In the dictionary “retreat“ is defined as: A place affording peace, quiet, privacy, or security.
With a little effort on our part, it is fairly easy to find a health retreat that would suit each of us. Generally running with a theme such as “Flow”, “Women’s Health”, “Self- empowerment”, even “Creative writing” or “Surfing”, retreats broach as wide a range of topics as there are human interests.
What do you wish you had more of in your life? Chances are there is a retreat out there to help you steer your life towards that.
Taking Time Out Of Your Normal Routine to Reflect is Sacred
On another level, there is among us all, I think, a given understanding of an implication that there is something of the sacred in a retreat. There’s something sacred in the act of stepping out of the normal cycle of our life to reflect; to look in on our relationship(s) to the many levels of living that makes up each of our days.
A retreat allows us to remove ourselves from the normal trappings of our lives, we can gain perspective on relationships and on our life’s direction, stimulating new growth or deepening the roots of existing growth.
Give Yourself the Gift of Stillness at a Wellness Retreat
One of the focuses of a retreat, whether spoken or not, is toward increasing our own authentic living. Authenticity in thought and action is the ultimate goal of every spiritual tradition, and is to many of us the ultimate liberation of the “self”. To get there we need to cultivate stillness and this is one of the gifts we give ourselves by going on “retreat”.
Retreats help us find permission to be and to do what it is in our heart of hearts to be and to do. Join us! It is not an escape, it is an invitation to deepen and expand our lives.
